This module is offered live online via ZOOM. Recordings are available to enrolled students for 1 year.

From Josh :)

Hey there, anatomy adventurers! Get ready to dive into a course that’s all about unlocking your potential as practitioners and teachers. We’re focusing on learning about yoga through goal-oriented practices (GOP) and awareness-oriented practices (AOP) — think of them as your secret weapons for growth!

We’re not just hitting the books here; we’ll get our hands dirty with plenty of practical application, and maybe even wander into some philosophical musings and the fascinating world of subtle anatomy. Picture this: blending the Western anatomical model with the Eastern energetic model of the body — it’s like a yin-yang of anatomy!

This workshop is perfect for anyone diving into 300-hour yoga teacher training, as well as all you yoga enthusiasts out there who are already practicing and teaching. We’ll break down bones, joints, movement, and muscles in a fun, interactive way that’ll keep your movement brain easily engaged. Plus, we’ll touch on physiology, kinesiology, and how it all ties into your yoga practice.

Don’t you worry; we’ll sprinkle in some Ayurveda, hands-on palpation of bony landmarks, and even a bit of yoga philosophy — we’re going full circle here! We’ll be using Ray Long’s Key Muscles and Key Poses, along with some handy anatomy posters and my trusty teaching manual.

You can bet we'll make learning anatomy entertaining? Remember, to thine own self be true, as Polonius wisely said, and Aristotle reminds us that knowing yourself is the start of all wisdom. Above all, we'll actually have a blast while we learn!

Are you ready to join me for this exciting journey into the body and beyond?
